During his time at Hope, he completed practicum client hours, seeing children from 6 years up through young adults. Joshua has worked with clients from many walks of life, including many different cultures and clinical issues which have spanned anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, grief, childhood behavior disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse, and family conflict.
Joshua’s therapeutic approach includes deeply listening to clients for the words they are saying as well as the deeper meaning they make of their lives. He is empathetic, curious, and sometimes playful to help create a sense of safety and okay-ness for them. Joshua is interested in not only helping clients to get rid of mental health symptoms or unwanted behaviors; he cares about helping them to discover their authentic selves and to experience wellbeing and resilience.
