Janice Astilla, NP
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Janice is a double board certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult Gerontology Primary Care and Psychiatric Mental Health. After completing her formal training in internal medicine, she practiced in women’s health for six years, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive, patient centered care. During that time, she recognized a significant gap in access to mental health services and the growing need for integrated psychiatric support within primary care. Motivated to bridge this gap, she pursued additional specialization and completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification, expanding her ability to care for both the physical and emotional health of her patients.
Janice utilizes a holistic and individualized approach to treatment across the lifespan. She works with patients of all ages, genders, cultures, and backgrounds, creating evidence based care plans tailored to each person’s unique needs. She is committed to improving access to mental health services and reducing the stigma surrounding psychiatric care. Janice strives to foster a compassionate, safe, and collaborative environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing journey.
Outside of work, Janice enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with her family, prioritizing meaningful experiences and connection with her loved ones.
