Emi Fisher

Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

Emi is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor at Progeny Psychiatric Clinic. She seeks to hold space for clients with a genuine and empathetic curiosity that encourages personal discovery and collaborative treatment planning. She focuses on client strengths and promotes the client’s ability to maintain long-standing holistic wellness beyond therapeutic sessions.

Emi is bicultural (Japanese / American) and passionate about honoring her clients' unique story and identity. She embraces cultural diversity and holistic wellness within the therapeutic space. She incorporates creative and artistic approaches to experience the full spectrum of healthy self.

Emi is passionate about meeting her clients where they are in their healing journey and empowering them toward their goals. Her theoretical counseling style is person-centered in practice with a focus on psychodynamic, integrating treatment techniques from theoretical models such as Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness practices, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Somatic techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Parts Work (IFS).

Emi has experience working with clients experiencing relationship distress, identity issues, transitional distress, grief, debilitated functioning, trauma symptoms (PTSD/C-PTSD), anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
