Austen earned undergraduate degrees in both Criminology and Psychology from Florida Southern College before pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University, graduating in 2023.
Since completing graduate training, Austen has worked with Progeny Psychiatric Group, serving a diverse population of clients with a wide range of mental health concerns, including personality disorders, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. This experience has strengthened Austen’s ability to meet individuals where they are and provide thoughtful, non-judgmental, adaptable care.
Austen brings an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Townsend Character Structure Model. Treatment is always tailored to the individual, with an emphasis on creating a personalized plan that supports healing, growth, stability, and long-term sustainability in both daily life and broader personal goals.
